The new Coronisยฎ 5MP Mammo has been specifically designed to provide ultimate diagnostic confidence for mammography imaging applications, even when used in a PACS, quality control, environment. The Coronisยฎ 5MP Mammo display system bundles two 5MP, 21.3โ€ grayscale flat panel displays with built-in I-Guardยฎ sensor, an ultra-fast, dual-head Barcomedยฎ display controller, Medicalยฎ Pro softcopy QA software, a display driver and digital cabling.
Coronisยฎ 5MP Mammo offers exceptional image accuracy and high contrast images, quality control, that allow radiologists to detect the most subtle masses and microcalcifications. What's more, thanks to truly innovative, state-of-the-art technology, Coronisยฎ 5MP Mammo, quality control, successfully counteracts problems that are typical of current LCD technology. To provide radiologists with the appropriate diagnostic confidence, Barco developed the unique Per Pixel Uniformity (PPU) technology. PPU measures and adjusts the luminance output at pixel level and eliminates screen noise, thereby making each individual pixel comply with DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication, quality control, in Medicine) standards. Furthermore, to assure that no information is missing, Coronisยฎ 5MP Mammo is equipped with Defect Pixel Compensation (DPC) technology. Designed to bring more productivity to the mammography or radiology practice, the Barcomedยฎ 5MP2FH has 512 MB of memory, which enables loading of the entire current and prior exams in less than a second. Moreover, the display controller supports dual-head configurations and permits fast and smooth image roaming. Thanks to Barco's dedicated Barcomedยฎ 5MP2FH display controller, medical professionals can progress smoothly through their diagnostic workflow without having to wait for images.
